Sage Charmaine pens relatable sexy tunes teaming with wit, sweet melodies and vocals dripping with all things feminine. She’s the new kind of cross-genre artist: a “Sexy Teen Halsey,” crossed with the Lo-fi-vibes of a female Post Malone, the indie rock stylings of Tame Impala, with a dash of old school Paramore.
Sage has learned to encompass her sexiness in her music as a way of empowerment. Writing songs since she was just nine years old, and now at sixteen — she's fine tuned her sound as an artist making for the perfect combo of melodic tunes with equal parts honesty and edge.
Sage released a number of singles in 2018 produced and co-written by PJ Bianco, known for his work with Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, Fifth Harmony and A R I Z O N A. Her biggest song to date, "June," premiered via Girlslife magazine, and was written alongside Bianco. The release was accompanied by a contemporary dance music video directed by Brian Friedman (Britney Spears) featuring dancers Sean Lew and Kaycee Rice from JLo's "World of Dance,” and was choreographed by Emmy Award Winner, Tessandra Chavez, (So You Think You Can Dance?).
Sage rounded out 2018 with a remix of her debut single “Cherries” by former R5/The Driver Era songwriter/producer, Rocky Lynch, which premiered in Flaunt Magazine. She also released “Bitter Chocolate” featuring rapper cupcakke, which premiered in the ever-popular online mag, NYLON.
In December 2018/early 2019, Sage joined infamous female rapper, Bhad Bhabie, on her “Bhanned in the USA” tour as direct support for select cities and also select dates in Canada.
In January 2019, Sage released a double-sided single “Look Up 2 Me,” and “Ashes” which premiered on Billboard magazine with a music video with a guest appearance by producer Rocky Lynch.
Sage released her debut EP entitled, “don’t leave me,” in Spring of 2019 featuring co-writes/production with Rocky Lynch (The Driver Era), Alexander 23, and a feature with lil aaron.
Sage played Emo Nite Los Angeles at The Echo on the day of release, and then joined Hey Violet for a mini tour playing venues like The Bowery Ballroom in NYC and a sold out show at LA’s The Troubadour.
